I've been looking at tractors lately, hoping to get something by this fall, so I'm pretty familiar with the going price of certain models of interest. If I see an ad that is wildly over priced, especially $2k on a $5.5k item, I just keep looking. I assume there is something special about it they didn't advertise or they are just ignorant about the going market price. You wouldn't get any low ball offers from me, I just wouldn't bother to respond. When I sell, and I get a low ball, I just counter with a price, no reason to get upset, everyone is looking for a deal.
