We bought a 656 diesel back about 1965 or 1966. Loved that tractor. Then in 1967, we also bought a 1650 Oliver diesel that was the dealer's demo tractor. As expected, it was turned up a bit so it would really pull good. Dad sold the 656 to a neighbor knowing I wanted it some day. Neighbor sold it to a tractor jockey and it is long gone. The 1650 was still around when both parents died so I bought it off the estate. I even found the purchase order when we bought it and every receipt for any work ever done to it. Would love to have the 656 back also but not a chance of that. These may not be the most powerful or most comfortable (no cabs in the winter) but I put a lot of hours on both and loved it.
