I refuse to buy tires at Sam's Club after they pulled a "bait and switch" on me about 15 years ago.
I priced a set of four tires in their showroom and found a set I liked at a good price. I went back three days later to buy a set and was told those particular tires had all been returned to the distributor, and the ones they were selling as the equivalent just happened to be $20 per tire higher in price.
I let it drop without buying any, but before I left the store I wandered back to the tire racks and, Glory Be!, there were seven of the ones I originally looked at still on the racks.
They blew a sale.
You have to watch Sam's Club. Before I quit going there, I saw stuff selling there for more than the same items were selling for on the shelf at Walmart. It's all a big marketing scheme to make people think they're saving money.
