Maybe a fifteen years ago here in N.W. Wisconsin, some russian hogs got loose from a 'game farm'. They were making a mess and breeding like rats. The newspaper article said the DNR wanted them gone. When I called to get specific details, to stay legal, the DNR guy was extremely snide. Saying things like, 'we don't need a bunch of bozos out in the woods shooting everything that moves.' and 'What if you shoot some farmer's hogs that escaped his fences.' I politely but firmly told him that I wasn't a bozo, that I always know exactly what it is that I am shooting at, and for that matter isn't the definition of 'feral' a domesticated animal that escapes the control of a farmer?' We don't hear too much about them anymore. I don't know if they all got caught/shot or what. good luck K
