Scenario #1....My grandpa was born in Germany, lived there during the depression. Immigrated to the USA before WW2. His idea of a vacation was blueberry picking in Michigan for the weekend. Scenario #2....My bro-in-law was a machinist. Spent a good part of his off time working on outlaw 1/4 mile cars. 97 Camero did low 8"s. Took his kids to weekend races. At 54 he died from a blood clot. Family had enough ins to bury him, but not enough to pay off the $60,000 he owed to support his need for speed.
I know, 2 extreme examples. You"ve got to find, what my dad would call a happy medium, what works well for one family, may not work well for another.
