Close friend was having ,what he thought, indigestion and gas pain. Started around frist week of February. His wife finally made him go to the doctor. Doctor asked him some questions, gave him a stomach med. and a Nitro puffer. Told him to try the puffer when he felt he needed to burp, and could not, and made him an appointment to see a heart doc. later that day. Cardiologist gave him a short stress test, which he failed , and called a surgeon . He went to see the surgeon March the4th.It was determined that there where 4 arteries 70 percent to almost100 percent blocked. Booked him in for the big operation on March 11th. All went well he was back home on the 15th. Total charge "Zero dollars". Many things are mentioned on this site about Health care, and the Canadian Public Health care system ,with long waiting list. I don't think that one week, makes a very long wait. My friend is doing fine , wife and I went to see him this past Sunday.Lucky man ,65 years young , and a new lease on life! Bruce
