Anything taller is also going to be wider, and will also "bulge" more due to putting them on a too-narrow rim. It is likely that they will rub on the front end with the current rim and won't last long.
There are 12.5Lx16, but they are implement tires not good for tractor steer tires.
16.1's on a 16" rim is not a good idea.
Any solutions will require a different rim.
The 8-bolt pattern is pretty standard. It's the same as on wagon running gears, manure spreaders, etc..
20" rims are taller, a *LOT* taller. But, I don't know if a 3 or 4 rib ag type front tire exists for 20" rims. You may be stuck with truck tires.
