Crawlers are a really high maintenance machine due to track wear. I once mowed some pretty soft ground with a JD model 50 that had 15.5-38 rear tires and the mower on the 3 pt. so the front end was light and didn't sink either. Those oversize tires worked pretty good for that. Couldn't pull anything though. I tried to pull a stuck pick up out that wasn't too stuck and barely did it as I could not get a bite it just floated on top. If you could find a tractor with rubber tires and the ARPS tracks that go over them they did well in mud.
