(This would also provide 11.7 pounds of nitrogen) Then, to get the balance of the nitrogen requirement, "if" they use ammonium nitrate, that would require 171 pounds per acre. So, you would add the 65 pounds (18-46-0) plus 171 pounds of ammonium nitrate (34-0-0) and your total pounds "applied" per acre would be 236 pounds. Clear as mud?
