Al in WI, LOL... I think maybe a lot of people on this site need "rehab" regarding rusty stuff (at least regarding tractors anyway).
Sounds like a great trip. Should have taken your camera! Maybe daughter and I will have to make a trip over by river after the school year ends.
I think anywhere by the river, there could be lots of rust remaining. We went to a couple auctions in the hilly areas and WOW - the stuff that was stashed away in those hills!!

While I love straightening sheet metal, cleaning, and painting old tractors, I use every excuse to avoid working on the on the electrics. I find the whole process sheer mystery.
