Like mentioned about the relay. I would start by checking the relay and fuse, they are beside each other and location is labled on the fuse box cover under the hood. I am pretty sure there is a "prime" circuit cavity beside the relay that you could run a jumper wire into to send direct power to the pump for testing too.
There was a known wiring problem with the fuel pump connector at the pump, but too my knowledge all replacement pumps have the updated wiring connector and supplied wiring/connector pigtail if needed. If not the old style connector was 2 rows of 2 pins and square, new style connector was a 4 pin flat. The old style connector was known for loose pins/bad connection and/or melting.
