Tne JD 2010 had has the reputation that TxJim stated. We had one tractor loader that went for more than 5000 hours when sold(running). I woould not buy it unless you want to spend the rest of your like using it an hour working on it an hour. Also, 2010 used parts were tough to get 20 years ago. Dash and sheet metal impossible new or used. I have always had Case backhoes and had relatively good luck. Personally, if it is for your own use I would look for a 580 with a mechanical shuttle. You, will have to look a while to find one. If the shuttle is good it will last forever. Cylinder packings can be bought after market quite inexpesively. Lot of parts around if something does go wrong. I have 2 much newer ones with cabs on them, but around the house and shop I always jump on the 580 shuttle. Around here you can find them for about $4 to 6,000. They were made in the late 1960s. If I am not mistaken the 2010 go back to the early 60s I would not be scared to widen you search area. U-ship is my choice for trucking. There are very few tractors or implements that I have bought that I could have trucked cheaper myself. I am in New York (where you need a degee in electrical engineering to get your car inspected). Do not know how it is in Idaho.
