So.. something else I'll be needing to research in the near future is older mowers....
I have a 3 acre yard and 11 acre pasture, few trees and outbuilding in the yard but its mostly grass, dugout to go around but really nothing else in the pasture, not even critters this year so I may want to mow it come fall, no rocks and reasonably smooth, in the past Ive rented it out for a couple horses but those wont be here this year, I have a collection of garden tractors for tighter areas but most of the yard doesnt need to be a perfectly finished lawn, but Im close to the highway so I like the place to look clean and well kept, I supervise a large sheet metal shop and Im quite mechanically inclined, have a welder and alot of steel fab tools at home, I can rebuild and maintain most anything, and would like an older mower that will compliment an older tractor.
any suggestions or recommendations are welcome.

Although he himself has never actually owned or restored a tractor, he was always enthusiastic and always around helping with other peoples projects.
