We had the row crop version back in the 60's and the utility version with a gas engine. Its a Continental engine with glow plugs. I understand parts are hard to come by or if you find them are expensive. We had the crankshaft brake on ours and when they took it apart the head was cracked - heads are a common problem on many of the old diesels. First time it started for the day always had to use the glow plugs, even in 90 degree weather. Started OK after that. Engine had good power for its size. As for the tractor they steer hard if they don't have power steering. If they have a loader on them during their life time there is a good chance of damage somewhere along the steering parts. Those utility tractors are quite handy to have - I have a 300U. Mostly same tractor, gas engine. If I came across a 350D in decent shape I'd buy it.
