Folks from West Virginia tell me that the reason all their hay fields are above the barn, is so when they bale the bales roll down the hill into the barn. One time the vind blew the barn door shut and they had a mess when the round bales come crashing thru it. Seems as if all farming has its hazards. I was talking to a man from the flint hills of Kansas and he told me that when baling there were sew many flint stones that it would get the hay on fire in the baler. I think he wuz being funny.
