depends some on what the road captain/route Marshall has said the road speed will be- 10 mph will let the JD keep up barely- but a 15 mph road section can be handled by H with road gear while JD will be blocking the road and running wide open. Some towns and county roads occasionally get annoyed with the 10mph routing- couple places have the 15 mph as a minimum speed as a administrative rule- can't do 15mph then not allowed on road for more than 1/2 mile or one block without individual permits. Usually a single parade permit will let everybody go 10 mph on the selected road, street- but might need a header and trailer vehicle with turn signals required if long parade, couple runs in Indiana and Ohio last couple years had this requirement, seems they had had a minor car crash with parade tractors year or so before. Mixed brand rides with old JDs will often be the 10 mph route will sometimes a second route has the 15mph speed and the later series with occasionally have a 20 mph route for the 4010s, 4020s 43nn and 44nn to go along with the IHC number series up. Check you road captain.
