thanks guys for your comments. This happened this morning. this evening I looked at the tractor, got book out, checked clutch dump valve, brake adjustment. dump valve appeared to be out of adjustment some. Started tractor. Again it would not shift as it did this morning. So went to move tractor in to the shed ( starting in low gear). After short distance, stepped on clutch and it worked! ?? I went and used tractor this eve. to cut 10 acres of hay. clutch and TA was working as usual and was working when I pulled it back in shed? I'm with you guys that clutch must have an issue and I will sooner, rather than later, need to split the tractor. I'm going to see if it can last for another few trips to the hay field, unless you think I might do more damage by using it? Thanks
