School lunch program in Indiana may be supported by Fed Government cheeses and meats, However no state taxes were used. Lunch program funds were seperate from school money. So it's possible the free lunches are federal supported.
That said, it's sad to say we have ISTEP tests given out by the state. Less is expected from the kids on free lunch program. So schools like to have as many free lunch kids as possible that way the school doesn't get a low grade for low test scores. George
