The front pump is closed center , variable displacement radial piston pump. It must be pressure fed via the transmission oil system. Ignored service such as a plugged pickup screen, wrong oil, contaminated oil, ignored filter . This will cause the divert valve to chatter and make the pipe failure tendency worse. The wrong connection to a loader etc will also make an otherwise perfect system chatter.
