Can anyone tell me why a new water pump housing on a JD 620 will not give me the clearance between the pump and the main tractor casting? I bolted my old pump onto the radiator tonight and I have a good 3/8" clearance from the bottom of the pump to the main tractor frame. The new pump only gives me a .067 clearance and this is with a 3/16" shim under the radiator. I really need to remove the shim underneath the radiator as the hood is pushed up against my steering shaft.
