its time to plant turnips in PA ! I was out of comission planting time,so the big garden plot is full of weeds., I didnt do anything with it till this weekend. had to brushhog it first put the plow on next when the patch was plowed,I figured it was time to tuck the plow away,I shouldnt need it till next spring,it gets put in SweetFeets old shed smeared some old heavy drain oil on the plows Its tucked away now I Have to borrow the neighbors harrow Its ready for planting the turnip seed the very special tool for shaking out the seed,the neighbors grandma taught me how to plant them,this course pepper shaker was used by her and her late husband for years. She really likes to see the turnip patch continue,and likes to pass them out to all her friends and relatives. The turnip patch is like a community turnip patch,and am honored to be able to carry it on. We also have a community potatoe patch,I usually help with that,but this year was not well when it got planted. This years neighborhood potato patch got planted late,but it is doing well Isaid to the neighbor,Im sorry I Could not help this year plant the potatoes,he said dont worry I know you like yukon gold,I planted a row just for you,,,,,nice neighbors,,,,,,,,thanks all on the site here for taking a visit to pa with me,,,see you next week
