Cutting a couple patches of 2nd cutting today and saw a mink hop from one field to the other. I was stunned...no river for about a mile, I've got a tiny pond. Too stupid to take a pic with my phone. I assume it was a mink...bout foot and a half long, coal black. Had a red tail hawk nearby for most of the afternoon. Saw it get 1 snake and 3 mice. Usual group of barn swallows over indulging on all of the insects stirred up. Interesting for me.
