Ive heard that as well using apple cider vinegar and putting a little liquid dish soap in it. They are attracted to the vinegar, the dish soap creates a film that they cant fly. From what I have heard they lay eggs in the drain. They must not like generic cider vinegar as I didn't have a one in the bowl lol.
