I've never been around a ground wasp. In my neck of the woods everything is farm land. Some of the farm groves might have them but I keep our two farm sites mowed up so there is no habitat for them it live in. I got nailed on the ear by a brown paper wasp the other day but it wasn't much of a sting. Anymore a wasp sting feels like a little pinch with slight tenderness for the rest of the day. They used to hurt like crazy in my younger days. I like to bang on places where I think a wasp nest might be hiding to see if I can shake them up a bit. If any come out I hit them with wasp and hornet killer just for the joy of watching them writhe while they lay on the ground dieing. Jim
