I was born and grew up in the early 60s when most TVs were still black & white and only 3 or 4 stations no cell phones no calculators or computers and we had not even been to the moon yet. As a child you said yes sir or mam or no sir or mam and you held a door for ladies and gentlemen and you only spoke when you were spoken to. You did not have a fit or do something wrong in public or you knew you would got wore out with the belt! I grew up watching the evening news watching the Vietnam war nightly, And seeing returning vets being disrespected when they returned home ( That never set right with me! ). It was a different time that's for sure. I could go on and on.
Todays kids have no manners no command since and cant live without a cell phone glued to there head or I-pad and don't get me started on texting! There the I want it now generation! No morals and no fear only what can I get away with and slide by with. I am not saying there all bad there are some good ones but boy the rest make you wonder as they will be running the country and taking care of us when we get old. Kinda puts a shiver in the spine don't it?
Like I said we grew up in a different time and place and I don't think todays kids could do what we did with and without! I still have hope for a better future to come. Bandit
