Working on a D7G dozer. Operated said that the transmission was shifting funny. He changed the oil and filter. Did not clean the torque converter screen or drain it. Refilled ran the tractor for three hours and transmission was overheating. I went down and found he filled it with 10w hydraulic oil. I drained the Trans only and refilled with 30w. Tractor Ran 2 Hours And Started Pouring Oil Out Of The engine. Checked and it was about 12 gallons too full and the transmission was low. I replaced the scavenger pump per another mechanics recommendation. It did not help. Could it leak 2 gallons an hour through the rear main? Could it be something else? Ideas?
