Friends and family made their annual trip to our farm this weekend and cut and split and stored our winters wood. About 18 cord that will last another cold winter, I HOPE. It always surprises me as to how much easier a hard job can be when you have several friendly and willing helpers. Lots of laughing and joking along with good food and it is more like a party than a work detail.
We still have enough wood left from last year to go another winter but it is always better to be prepared for whatever mother nature throws at us.
