I havent kept track of small squares.

Big rounds of grass hay are bringing 80-120/ton.

Here in central MN, grass hay is pretty plentiful this year, but good, dry dairy quality alfalfa is harder to find. Hardly any of that is baled in rounds. Mostly big squares. At the last auction. I heard loads of good alfalfa with lower moisture were still going for well over 200/ton. The higher moisture alfalfa with chemical on it was going just under 200/ton.

I have quite a few big rounds to sell yet, the hay I have sold is OK grass hay, put up dry, but did have about a half inch of rain on it. Ive been selling it for 80/ton.

I have alot of hay down that I cut this weekend, and if the weather holds through Thursday, this will be the best grass hay Ive gotten this year.
