Today's funny reminded me of a time about 35 years ago. We were logging and that day my wife of probably two years was riding with me home from the woods in our old military 6x6 logging truck. I asked "What day is this?" She replied with the day of the week, to which I replied "No, what is the date? She replied "The eighteenth". I said "Oh, happy anniversary yesterday!" That was the wrong thing to say, but then there was no right thing to say. Not only did I forget, but I remembered before she did. That weekend we went out for a nice supper. All was OK in the long run because Wednesday was our 37th.
