Larry, Nowadays in some states it's cheaper to buy the legal deer from the DNR if possible,I never bought one, and come thru the whole season empty handed, especially when it stayed below zero. If licenses are too much for out of state, have a neighbor buy a extra license and you pay for it, and have him get you a deer. You do the pulling of the deer and offer him a 12 pack for his generosity.Last time we checked Wisconsin Out of State licenses they were over $200.00,but we seem to get a lot of hunters with out of state plates every year.If you do hunt stay safe and have a good venison lunch, nothing tastes better on a cold day than fresh deer.Plus you are recouping some of your loss from this years garden. As I typed this there was a small doe at the bottom of our driveway walk by. She's safe from us as we wont shoot her or any other deer on our property. Thanks for the reply. LOU
