Yesterday as I was driving, I ran across a Prime Mover L925 skid loader for sale on the side of the highway. It appears to be in good shape, but does not have an engine in it. The gentleman who is selling the loader came over and said he bought the machine new, and has used it since the late 70’s or early 80’s. Everything worked well on the machine but as he was using it last the engine locked up on him. He took it to a local mechanic who told him the engine was shot. It had a 25 horse Onan in it. He is not sure what he wants for the machine, or how much it is worth. Does anyone have an experience with these? I have never been around this brand of skid loader. Any ideas of what engines would swap in to it? What kind of value it would have? Thanks to any ideas/information.
