A friend has a 2002 madza. Auto zone scanned computer and said something is wrong with mass air flow sensor. So I looked for an air leak and checked air filter. Filter looked new. When I removed air filter I found the rubber air hose going from the mass air sensor to the air intake was rotten, cracked in half. So Bubba recommended using duct tape. I said, lets use metal duct tape instead. Metal duct tape to the rescue. It worked. Bet the rubber air hose is a dealer item only. Car is working fine now. Bubba said if it were his car he wouldn't buy a new part as long as duct tape works. George
