Understand that superchargers are actually compressors. If you want to increase horsepower, you need to increase the density of the air. Vacuum cleaners move a lot of CFM, but they do it with a fairly small pressure differential. Not to mention that the CFM for a typical vacuum is probably less than the idling air flow for an automotive or tractor engine.
