Can't remember the name of the white power I got from my terminte man, don't think they called it boric acid, but it works. Might think of wrapping or covering infested wood with plastic to keep it damp longer.
I made an oak china cabinet and one of board on the top had power post beetles. I put plastic on the floor, turned the cabinet upside down and gave it a good soaking.
