Hi Thanks for the reply I get what you want to do now. Be careful with putting 24 on a 12 starter. If you crank to long there is a fair chance of a melt down someplace. I wonder if your starter is getting tired or needs replacing or the cables are bad as well. I had a guy with a 500 that sat out all winter, it had 1 12v battery and a 120 v block heater. if the battery was good it would start. with say 2 good 1000cca batteries in parallel i would expect it to start pretty good if every things ok, does the heat/glow plug work to thats a great help also.
