"Non mechanical" That reminds me of a story I read in an autobiography by a guy who worked for MF. He spent some time in Africa and one day he was called out to look at a 135 that had 'engine trouble'. Basically it was a new fairly tractor with an engine that was totally wrecked. Removing the bowl from oil bath air cleaner he noticed that the bowl itself had no oil in it at all but instead it was full of dry sand! The driver said he had removed it only to find that "The old sand was dirty and oily, so I emptied it out, cleaned it and put some new sand in it".
