Unfortunately, the buisness itself has strayed away from country. The majority of the revenue is generated from concert ticket sales, cd sales, t.v. show appearances, and so on all of wich is targoted to the younger folks as consumers. And they are just not going to get into listening to a song about one eyed rover killing a chicken out in the front yard and aunt Nora taking it away cooking it up for supper. Its kinda like going to a modern day tractor pull and the big fad right now is these young gals wearing shorts and cowboy boots. Well thats fine and dandy but let me tell ya something, that is as red neck as they are going to get. Not going to budge an inch on getting anymore rednecky than that. Its kinda like drawing a line in the sand and doing this but not that and the same when it comes to music. OK, a little splash of country twang OK, but don't ask me to get into anything to hillbilly. So, the music reflects this too. Just get ready, country going to splash over into the rap some too to pick up sales. All about the dollar.
