Went to load up my freshly restored Farmall H on my deck-over bumper pull trailer this August. I hooked up the trailer and pulled it to where I wanted it to be for loading. Got it all set and headed up the ramps. I load my tractors driving on the trailer forwards, and about the time the rear wheels got fully onto the beaver-tail, the trailer rose up and came off the ball. There I was balancing the trailer like a teeter totter with my H. I was lucky enough to have my son there to jump in the truck to move it forward, but not until the trailer tongue skipped a couple of times across the tailgate. I had to keep it balanced in mid-air until he got the front stand down a little so I could drive forward and get it on the ground. Dumb mistake not latching the hitch, and thankfully no one was hurt! I guess I must have restored the brakes and clutch very well! Funny thing, when it was all said and done, I did have it perfectly placed on the trailer!
