Lou, its great to hear you can get out, maybe not as you would prefer, but with acceptance of that small compromise, you are out there and can enjoy the rite, of taking part in a hunt, hopefully putting food on the table.
I don't consider what I do any kind of real hunt, I walk to a stand a few hundred yards from my home and have the pick of the local herd. I do plant forage when I can, it does make a difference, this year it did not work out, and I can see the contrast with the year prior when I planted a few acres. We are thankful and extremely fortunate to have the means to harvest a few whitetail and bolster our food supply with meat that is very good. Sure they are a pain with a vegetable garden but I work around that a little better than in the past, overall its relatively balanced and become a way of life, and in thanks, I share some of this, by allowing a couple of friends to do the same.
