Leroy, I don't have anything against bar mowers. I own at least 5 of them currently...IH 100, 120, 115, Cub L-??, and a Ford 3 pt. The last two use pitmans. The first three are balanced head mowers. The mowers without a pitman are far superior. I also owned a New Idea trailer mower and two JD #5 mowers. Those three have already found new homes. The Ford is next. Then I will only have IHC mowers. Over the years I have cut a LOT of hay with bar mowers. I still use them for a lot of things...edge trimming, ditches, lanes. Lots of uses. Haybine style mower is just better for heavier hay and the thicker the hay, the more bales and the more $$$$. When the haybine goes down, the sickles back me up.
