We recently purchased a MFWD White 2-85 with a Cummins repower that is putting out about 115 HP. The over/under has been replaced with a straight shaft, so we just have 6 gears. We plan to use this tractor everyday on our TMR mixer to feed our cows, so only having the six gears is not a problem. We bought this tractor because it has a rebuilt front end, new clutch, Cummins with 1200 hours on it, and a new interior and seat. Its a pretty sweet little tractor.
We do have a little problem, so we think. We have never owned a white before-we are IH guys. The hydraulic pump seems to be making noise until we use one of the remotes. When we use a remote, the noise really quiets down. Also, the line that supplies the 3pt system gets pretty warm/hot. I have no clue when the hydraulic filter was changed-we bought it at a consignment auction. I plan to change all the filters, but really know nothing about these tractors. So far it works great on the mixer, and we really like this tractor, and are considering upgrading our IH1586 to a White 160 because we like this little guy so much.

When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
