My 1850 shelled out the high range side this spring while discing. Opened it up the the shift fork was worn, the shift collar was also worn. The input shaft was not pretty and there was some blackening from low lubricant flow. Too much crap in the transmission from not enough oil changes. Removed the hydraulic unit and the engine. We pulled enough parts from two other tractors and bought a few seals and snap rings to put it together. If I remember we spun the lube pump to make sure it was pumping oil real well. Took some time but we got the old gal running in top form again.
