MarkB, I just took pic today off the back of a new range. Why would Tappan put this sticker on the back if the NEC code has changed? Wouldn't that open them up to a law suit if it changed? I owned a trailer built in the 50's. It was wired with 4 wire, ground was connected to the skin of trailer, receptacles and the metal plumbing. It even had a sticker on trailer, meets NEC. So mobile homes had 4 wire for over 60 years now.
Recently a local person was electrocuted because the skin on a travel trailer was hot. So I see the need for grounding the skin of mobile homes. It's too easy to put a screw through the metal skin and in to a wire. Trailer is on rubber or cement blocks with wood between blocks and metal.
