Guys, I am Independent Insurance Agent.
In July of 1993 I got my Temporary Tx Ins License.
In Sept of 1993 I got my Permanent Tx License #!
In July of 2000 I Walked Away from a 200 person Book of Health Ins Biz!
It was a volatile book of Biz back then, I can't Imagine what it would have been now! People were always looking for the best deal and who would give the best rate for the longest time... First Yr Rate Guarantee! Then it was on average Rewrite your entire book of biz every 18 months!! After 3 rewrites just to get them Cheap premiums most didn't care if the coverage was questionable or not just cheap monthly premiums. I Decided to not be a part of it any longer,
So I concentrated on regular Life, & Annuities
In spite of the problems the old System had and there were areas that sure could use improvement! It was still the Best health care on the face of the Planet! Bar None!
But this Crap we have now! There are rules and Regs that have not surfaced Yet and when they do! Y'all better hold on to your Hat and your Pocket book!!! For You ain't Seen nothing Yet! it will get worse, this POS has to be Defended!
This POS system makes the old system look great. The BAD Agents we had in the old system, or Current! are the least of your worries.
*
I Do NOT Understand ....
Visit with a man and his wife. Do your Due Diligence to find a policy that meets their needs and pocket-book. and then the SOB get hung up on, wants to know my commission schedule, Ect, Ect! He get twisted!
So I ask about the Sales reps that sold them their Home, Cadillac Cars, Fancy pickup, Boat, Refrigerator , Washer dryer,Ect, Ect..( these sales reps Have no State Licensing requirements, little to no background checks or similar requirements)!
...So what make ME the Lowest SOB on the Face of the Planet????!
*
I don't tell Y'all this just to hear My Head Rattle! A lot of the Guys here think more of a Snake Oil Salesman than a heavily regulated Ins Agent who has to have 40 Hrs of Continuing Education (CE hrs) every 2 yrs for the first 20 Yrs of uninterrupted licensing from my State of Texas! My Observation!
Later,
John A,

Today's Featured Article - A Brief History of Tractors in Australia - by Bob Kavanagh. After Captain Cook's exploration of the east coast in 1770 the British Government decided to establish a penal colony in Australia. The first fleet arrived in 1788 and consisted mainly of convicts who were poorly equipped and new little of farming techniques. The colony remained far from self-supporting and it was not until the early 1800's that things started to improve.
