When I worked in Las Vegas about 8 years ago I remember driving along I40 on either side of Amarillo and the rest areas did not have any kind of bathrooms. This was in the Texas panhandle. A trucker friend of mine said that at night the truckers just walked off a little ways and peed right there on the grass. I wonder why these rest areas had no toilets?
