I am a hobby farmer (do 20 acers of hay for my sisters and brother in law for 1/2 a beef), and once told a dairy farmer friend that farmers are some of the dumbest people I have ever met (he did not know how to take this until I finished). Anyone that works so hard to make so little and have to put up with so much, such as little developments crying about his manure spreading and equipment running all hours of the day and night have to love what they are doing or are just plain stupid. He then laughed and said he was too tired most of the time to figure out which one himself. John
