I have read that if your changing a 6 volt to 12 volt to go to a 55 Chevy coil because it is a true 12 volt coil, Now I have had a few 55 and 56s and everyone I had, used a ballast resister. to reduce the voltage to the coil, I have read it in several magazines about the 55 Chevy, Am I missing something?
