had mine 6 yrs ago. never a problem. Take your pain meds especially before going to PT. Their job is to keep all those "mad" muscles stretched out and working to full range. Without the meds, they are gonna hurt ya. With meds (and plenty of your own stretching at home)recovery will be quicker and easier. If you don't get those muscles stretched you will be "peg-legging" all your life. Ya get one chance and if you let those muscles shorten , they will stay that way. Have had zero ill affects from mine and no pain. Fully sealed and lubed by body fluid indefinately.
