Had one done 2 1/2 years ago. Couldn't be happier with it. Everyone heals at a different rate. A lot depends on how sturdy the leg bones are to start with. For me, the knee replacement was a walk in the park. Some people, not so much.
Do the therapy without fail. Don't have to go to the point you are ready to pass out from pain, but you do have to push a bit further each day.
I was back to cutting firewood on an every other day basis in 6 weeks. You may or may not be able to do that. Use your head and when the knee tells you it's had enough, listen. You'll heal up a lot faster and be happier with the end result.
Be prepared to have the hip on that side bother a bit. You will be walking with a normal gait for the first time in a long time and it may take the hip joint a bit of time to adapt.
