Wile, Heres what works for me. Size 15s and 245lbs, so I put some weight on them!!
For boots, I wear Red Wings. They go on at 6:30am and come off at 11pm. I have four pair as my feet sweat, gives them time to dry out. All of these have orthotic inserts $60 a pair. I have a mix of steel toe, and non steel, and insulated.
I just purchased a pair of Carolina boots. Still figuring out if they are comfortable. The leather seems paper thin compared to the Red Wings.
For lighter use, I have Keen and Merrell hiking style boots and shoes. I have noting but great things to say about either of these. They feel so light and have a ton of cushion. Never any foot pain.
If you dont need full leather and hard soles, I would look into the Keens or Merrells.
